always mindful to support his home church, Angel Tree ministry, anyone and
everyone down and out – while always available to lend a helping hand to
friends, co-workers, supervisors, neighbors, strangers and family. He
served overseas in Desert Storm and Desert Shield and in Europe and Asia and

All riders please keep in mind that now that the warm
weather is upon us it is not only important to drink lots of water but the
proper electrolyte balanced sports type drinks are also important to staying
properly hydrated. The best advice is to begin hydrating the night before
being out in hot weather and then to remain hydrated during the day. If
you find yourself thirsty, you’re already behind in your hydration.

Ride captains will be circulating and checking on you
throughout the missions. We will try to be circulating with water as
well. Do not be brave and try to “gut it out.” If you
need a break – take one. If you need water, get some. If you
feel ill, get help. We are concerned for your safety. We do not
want to create a mission while at a mission. We also don’t want the
focus to be on us. These families and mourners are already going through
a very difficult time and we don’t want them worrying about us or feeling
bad if one of us should happen to become ill due to heat, etc. If
it’s something we can prevent let’s do our best.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and
with honor and respect for this active duty service man and his family.
