<p class=MsoNormal>Amid the flurry of activity that is Snowball Express the
other events of the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders go on as well.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>A number of our riders have had the privilege of riding with
the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard, led by Mr. Gene Allen. We have also
seen them at at least one KIA that I know of. We participated at the head
of the parade as part of their entry in the Royce City July 4 parade this year
and, more recently, as part of their entry at the head of the Frisco Veterans
Day parade.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Mr. Allen and the rest of the Guard members have graciously
invited us to participate with them at the head of the Royce City Christmas
Parade this year. Unfortunately, it conflicts with the Snowball Express
Cowboys Stadium event where the PGR is already committed, but there are always
riders who may be able to make one event and not another. Any PGR rider
who is able to make the Royce City Christmas Parade is welcome, and encouraged,
to join in with the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard at the head of the parade.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The parade is on December 12, 2009 and steps off at 5:30PM. Staging
is at 5:00PM on the East side of the Methodist Church in Royce City, at the
intersection of Highway 66 and Josephine St. They will also have a Humvee
in the parade.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>No Ride Captain will be assigned to this parade but all PGR
riders who are available are encouraged to go and join in. There’s
nothing like a small town parade where the whole town turns out.
You’ll be glad you went. Just look for Mr. Allen and the rest of
this fine unit and you’ll be met with smiles and open arms.<o:p></o:p></p>
